Do you feel your cheeks fall, with deep nasolabial folds and that you look older than you are?
From the age of 35 onwards, the first signs of facial aging as cheek descent and deeper nasolabial grooves begin to appear; this area is called the middle face.
Fillers such as ac hyaluronic with are usually indicated with the intention of reducing the shadows produced by deep nasolabial folds and marionette lines, that begin to appear around 35 years of age. This solution is simple and effective although of relatively short duration and should be limited to small amounts of filling to avoid deformity of the cheek.
The most logical and appropriate solution is to raise the cheeks to its normal position without exaggerating, so that it looks natural.
The idea of traditional facelifts to stretch and remove skin with an incision anterior to the ear leaves an unacceptable sequel.
Miniinvasive Laser Facial Lifting® is our technique for facial rejuvenation with natural results, without visible scars and rapid recovery.

1 What is Minimally Invasive Laser Facelift? (MIL Facelift)
The Minimally Invasive Laser Facelift is Dr Bukret’s method for face and neck rejuvenation.
The Minimally Invasive Laser Facelift is the result of 10 years of research, and restores a youthful, natural appearance without facial scarring, with a short recovery time.
On March 3, 2011, Dr. Bukret presented his innovative work entitled “Minimally Invasive Midface Lift with Suspension Sutures” at the second Madrid International Conference of Plastic Surgery, which focused on face and neck lifts. This important conference gathers the top specialists in facial aesthetic and reconstructive surgery worldwide. Dr. Bukret’s method, which was the precedent version of the current MIL face lift, introduced diode laser surgery to stimulate collagen formation, tightening the skin and improving long-term results. Later on was presented in important Plastic Surgery meeting in Boston, Kyoto, Buenos Aires.
2 Which are the benefits and advantages of MIL Facelift?
The minimally invasive laser facelift rejuvenates the midface, avoiding the appearance of stretching commonly observed after conventional techniques. In this way, patients obtain a beautiful, natural look without facial scars and a fast recovery time.
The benefits of the minimally invasive laser (MIL) facelift are:
- Natural results
- Minimal incisions (no visible facial scars)
- Short down time
- More safety and comfort
3 How does MIL Facelift work?
The main concept of the minimally invasive facelift consists of repositioning the tissues vertically, preserving the anatomy, expressions, and features of the patient’s face.
This approach is appropriate for patients with slight to moderate ptosis of the cheeks, particularly younger patients who are likely to have a rapid recovery and wish to avoid preauricular scars.
The method is minimally invasive because it is performed through small incisions and the cheek dissection is limited to areas that need to be corrected, avoiding scars on the face and the usual complications of conventional treatments such as loss of sensation, facial asymmetry, and injury to nerves and muscles.
4 What is the main function of laser?
The minimally invasive laser facelift is performed by a blunt dissection of the cheeks with a laser cannula through small incisions. The use of a laser reduces bruising after surgery, stimulates the formation of collagen, and tightens the skin, providing natural results.
The first signs of aging appear around the eyes, and include a tired or sad-looking appearance due to sagging cheeks, deep nasolabial folds, marionette lines, dark circles or hollowness, and crow’s feet.
The minimally invasive laser facelift produces a structural rejuvenation of the midface.
5 How are the incisions made?
On each side, a half-inch incision is made on the scalp behind the hairline, and a 3-mm puncture is performed at the sideburn near where the laser cannula is inserted.
The laser cannula dissects deep malar fat; its action reduces bruising after surgery, generates collagen, and tightens the skin by thermal stimulation.
6 What kind of sutures do we use and why?
Percutaneous sutures are placed to secure the cheek in the desired position.
Permanent sutures are fixed to the deep temporalis fascia for long-lasting results. The sutures are easily adjusted under local anesthesia if necessary, even after several years.
7 How long does the surgery take and what kind of anesthesia is used?
The procedure takes about an hour and is performed under local anesthesia and I.V. intravenous sedation
The minimally invasive approach rejuvenates the patient without visible scarring of the face.
8 When can the patients return to normal activities?
Our patients can return to normal activities within 5 to 10 days after surgery.
The minimally invasive laser facelift is a safe and effective method for midface rejuvenation.
9 Which are the complications?
There is some transient edema for a week or two. it could be other infrequent complications associated to any procedure that should be fully discuss with your doctor before surgery.
